As South Africaxe2x80x99s leading retailer is seeking for a Senior IS Project Manager this individual will be a key contributor to the VAS Business Unit, responsible for driving the delivery of innovative I&T projects. The plays a pivotal part in realizing our ambitious VAS roadmap, encompassing critical initiatives such as financial services, bill payments, and cellular services.Responsibilities

• Responsible for the planning and delivery of large/complex IS project(s) within the IS (Information Services) Customer Programme
• Responsible for building and managing the relationship with the business areas of accountability within the IS Customer Programme
• Responsible for delivering to the overall IS prioritisation of projects within the IS Customer Programme
• Responsible for highlighting and managing risks and issues of projects within the IS Customer programme
• Responsible for highlighting the interdependencies of projects within the IS Customer Programme
• Responsible for reporting progress of projects back to the IS Customer Programme Manager
• Responsible for building a relationship and working closely with IS Capability leads, Product owners and Vendor teams involved in the project
• Responsible for resource allocation of technical teams to projects
• Responsible for the budget of the managed IS projects within the IS Customer Programme
• Responsible for the governance and adherence to group audit and IS governance frameworks
• Responsible for preparing the content for the divisional steering committees
• Responsible for the administration of the Projects within the IS Customer Programme

Qualification and experience

• Certificate or diploma in IS (Information Services) Project Management
• 5+ years IT Development experience
• 5+ years in managing projects of IT business applications
• 3+ years in the Retail industry or POS (Point of sale solutions) (will be an advantage)
• 3+ years in the Financial Services Industry [including VAS and
• Cellular] and Payments (will be an advantage)
• 3+ years in application development
• Previous Business Analysis and or Systems Analyst experience (will be an advantage)
• Experience with projects that integrate into SAP (will be an advantage)
• Proven resource management experience
• Proven experience of delivering complex projects (both technically
• complex and project complex with multiple work streams)
• Application of IT governance principles
• Experience with financial budgeting and cost of IT initiatives
