Senior It Engineer
Job Description
Job Summary -Offer 2nd and 3rd line technical support. Offer telecommunications support -Manage servers (Domain, Exchange, AD, File, Print, and Storage. Aid in developing strategies for client/server implementations and the necessary infrastructure) -Supervise the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripherals -Assume responsibility for the Help-desk system. Review help desk entries related to server issues, prioritize and address tickets accordingly -Assist in deploying new server systems, applications, and hardware, monitor and manage network, server, and device capacity and alerts -Implement IT security policies, procedures, and technologies, including firewalls -Plan and execute server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and patches from vendors -Recommend and execute modifications to server environment in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance -Develop and maintain server and network documentation -Provide guidance to junior members of the team -Administer equipment, hardware and software upgrades -Practice asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information -Security Audits -Backups and recovery Formal Education & Certification: - Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. - Minimum 3 years hands on experience
