Our client, a well-known insurance company is recruiting for a forward-thinking Senior Java Developer to develop, maintain and support the companys software applications.Senior Java Developer

• Degree in IT related field

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years java development experience using Java EE on Unix based platforms.
• Experience in a distributed computing environment utilizing Java EE.
• Extensive back-end development experience with Java EE.
• Advanced knowledge and practical application of object-oriented (OO) principles such as inheritance, interfaces, and abstract classes.
• Proficient in systems and code design with strong documentation skills when required.
• Familiarity and experience with microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of REST API design.
• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD practices.

KPAs:

• Develop software based on technical designs, ensuring scalability, readability, and maintainability.
• Stay updated on new technologies, business, and system changes, aligning development with best practices and system architecture.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize requests, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Design, code, test, and deploy system components or enhancements, collaborating with business analysts and testers.
• Conduct SIT, UAT, and co-create test cases while resolving issues and preparing releases for production.
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing programs, providing documentation and designing solutions to prevent recurring issues.
• Offer technical guidance to peers, mentor junior team members, and review deliverables for quality and alignment with IT strategy.
• Support continuous improvement by exploring alternative technologies and enhancing solution performance and functionality.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders, providing expertise, managing expectations, and fulfilling service level agreements.
• Foster a culture of feedback, innovation, and professional development while contributing to financial efficiency and responsible resource management.
