SUMMARY:
The University of Fort Hare is seeking applications from appropriately qualified and experienced candidates for Senior Lecturer position in the Faculty of Science and Agriculture.POSITION INFO:Minimum Requirements:

  • A relevant Doctoral Degree
  • At least 3 years experience in higher education
  • Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience in Biochemistry
  • A record of accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer
  • Postgraduate supervision experience including successful Masters/Doctoral supervision commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer

Duties:
  • Participate in research; curriculum design, development, and implementation
  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules
  • Meet research publication requirements for the academic rank of senior lecturer level
  • Secure external research grants
  • Supervise postgraduate students
  • Establish institutional, regional or national collaborations
  • Contribute to mentorship of emergent academic staff
  • Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching and/or research
  • Participate in administrative duties at departmental, faculty and university levels
