Senior Lecturer: NMU Business School - Port ElizabethSUMMARY:- Providing academic leadership to staff and students in the Business School - Facilitating the lea POSITION INFO:CORE PURPOSE OF JOBApplications are invited for the above post from suitably qualified and experienced applicants.To provide academic leadership to staff and students in the Business SchoolLead, conduct, publish, and supervise researchTo create, develop and facilitate the acquisition of knowledge, skills and competitiveness by students on the MBA and other programmes enabling them to become competent and experienced managers.KEY PERFORMANCE AREASProviding academic leadership to staff and students in the Business SchoolFacilitating the learning processes and outcomes of the Business SchoolContributing and lecturing in the following areas of management: Entrepreneurship and MarketingDirecting and ensuring academic and industry engagementConducting, publishing, supervising and promoting researchPerforming administrative and management duties in the Business SchoolCORE COMPETENCIESExpert knowledge in the theory and application of relevant MBA disciplinesGood business and industry related experience especially in a consulting environmentExperience at facilitating learning of adult and post-graduate studentsSupervision of postgraduate studentsStrong written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to supervise and promote researchExcellent networking skills and the ability to work in a teamStrong people management skillsREQUIREMENTSIn order to be considered for appointment to the senior lecturer post, candidates must:Be in possession of a doctoral degree in a business-related field of studyHave 2 5 years relevant lecturing / business / consulting experienceSupervise postgraduate studentsPreference will be given to candidates that have presented research findings at conferencesDISCLAIMER: Nelson Mandela University is a designated employer committed to pursuing excellence, diversity, inclusion, and redress in achieving its employment equity targets.
