Job Description


The purpose of the job is to:

  • Teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels across disciplines such as tourism and events management and business administration according to a set syllabus.
  • Contribute to academic leadership in the Department.
  • Facilitate curriculum design, implementation, and assessment in a variety of programmes and contexts.
The incumbent will also supervise postgraduate students and convene post-doctoral research.Job Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceMinimum Requirements: Senior Lecturer
  • Doctoral qualification: Doctor of Commerce / Doctor of Tourism/ Doctor of Geography or related Tourism Management
fields.
  • Underpinning Masters qualification in one or more of the sub-fields of Tourism Management.
  • At least four (4) years' relevant teaching experience in Higher Education.
  • Experience in curriculum development.
  • Track record in academic leadership, research output and postgraduate supervision.
