A minimum of at least 5 years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution or 7 years of professional working experience in the relevant field. At least five publications in accredited and peer-reviewed journals. A strong theoretical background in the field of Linguistics teaching and learning. Experience in postgraduate supervision will serve as an added advantage. Must have the ability to manage workload and possess efficient administration skills. Ability to deliver teaching in ways that stimulate, engage, and inspire students to learn.For appointment at the level of LecturerCandidate must be in possession of a Master of Arts degree in Linguistics. A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution or 5 years of professional working experience in the relevant field. A strong theoretical background in the field of Linguistics. Publications in peer reviewed and non-peer reviewed journals will serve as an added advantage. Must have the ability to manage workload and possess efficient administration skills. Ability to deliver teaching in ways that stimulate, engage, and inspire students to learn.For appointment at the Level of Junior LecturerBachelor of Honours in Applied Linguistics and knowledge of theoretical background in the field of Linguistics.DutiesTeaching using E-learning platforms and to develop Linguistics curriculum at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Participating in community engagement and research projects. Contributing fully, flexibly, and cooperatively in the Department of English, Media Studies and Linguistics: Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education. Supervision of postgraduate students.
