As the Senior Manager: Group Technical Accounting, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and transparency across our client's vast operations. • Spearhead the development and implementation of accounting strategies to ensure compliance with OHADA/IFRS standards

• Lead technical accounting guidance for complex scenarios, including mergers and acquisitions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address intricate accounting queries and projects

• Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance the organization's technical accounting capabilities

• Oversee central contracts and support M&A activities from a financial perspective

• Drive the continuous improvement of the Group Financial Policies Manual (GFPM)

• Engage with external auditors and industry peers to stay ahead of emerging accounting developments

• Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification

• Honours/Postgraduate or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Minimum 4 years of experience in technical accounting, preferably in telecommunications or financial services

• In-depth knowledge of OHADA/IFRS accounting standards

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex accounting issues

• Experience in managing technical accounting teams and driving regulatory compliance

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling

• Fluency in English; additional African languages are a plus
