Manage and implement ICT infrastructure and security, including network systems, servers, storage, cloud services, information, and cybersecurity.
Oversee ICT infrastructure and security projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This includes managing multidisciplinary teams throughout planning, execution, and delivery.
Effectively support the environment by managing ICT incidents, service requests, and problems in line with service level agreements, and conducting regular maintenance and disaster recovery processes.
Ensure effective governance is implemented within the unit and maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain all IT policies, processes, procedures, and standards required in the ICT Infrastructure and security environment.
Ensure architecture documentation is in place for all ICT Infrastructure and Security environments.
Manage projects within ICT infrastructure and security, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and operational standards, leading multidisciplinary teams through the planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure and security projects.
Develop and execute strategic plans for managing ICT services within an Infrastructure as a Service, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and industry best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality, efficiency, and value of managed services delivered in the cloud.
Manage the team and third parties to ensure that ICT incidents, including system outages, cybersecurity breaches, and data breaches, are resolved effectively in line with the SLA.
Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and policies to safeguard organisational assets and data.
Lead the identification and assessment of security risks, vulnerabilities, and threats to ICT systems and infrastructure.
Oversee the implementation of security measures, including access controls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.
Manage incident response and investigation processes to address security breaches and mitigate potential impacts.
Provide guidance and expertise to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance the organisations security posture and resilience against emerging threats.
Ensure that the ICT disaster recovery plans are in place for all ICT Infrastructure and security and are tested regularly, leading to risk identification and assessment processes for ICT environments, evaluating vulnerabilities, and developing and implementing associated risk mitigation plans in alignment with the organisational risk management framework.
Coordinate ICT Infrastructure and Security audits, respond to findings, and maintain ongoing compliance with relevant laws and contractual obligations, proactively addressing emerging regulatory requirements.
Manage budgets, expenditures, and contracting requirements in line with organisational financial policies and compliance requirements.
Implement strategies for team building, foster a positive work environment, set clear performance objectives, provide regular feedback, and utilise metrics to optimise team performance.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar qualification.
At least 10 years in the ICT Infrastructure and/or security environment.
At least 4 years of management experience in the ICT Infrastructure and security environment.
Understanding the AWS cloud environment will be an added advantage.
Demonstrable experience in managing outsourced partners will be an added advantage.
