Additionally, provide strong leadership in people management and ensure effective governance and reporting.1. Combined Assurance

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Combined Assurance Plan through consultation with the BU management team and assurance providers across the three lines of defence.
  • Map the plan to Critical Process and material controls, considering previous assurance results, material change projects, and emerging risks.
  • Chair and shape the Combined Assurance Forum, driving discussions on plan status, assurance results, and risk profile impact.
  • Ensure conformance with the Assurance Standard and lead the transformation of the combined assurance function by streamlining activities, avoiding duplication, and driving automation.
  • Proactively influence and drive real-time adjustments to the assurance plan in response to emerging risks.
  • Collaborate with Group teams to implement automation and leverage industry developments to enhance combined assurance capability.
2. Risk Assurance and Conformance
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Risk Assurance and Conformance Plan through consultation with the BU management team
  • Lead the execution of the Risk Assurance Plan and the Conformance Review plans for operational and resilience risk policies and standards.
  • Define and continuously enhance the plans, ensuring alignment with the combined assurance agenda.
  • Report findings, raise Dispensations, Waivers, or Breaches (DWBs) where non-conformances are identified, and monitor timely remediation.
  • Promote automation and data analytics to streamline assurance efforts and reduce intrusiveness.
3. People Management
  • Lead and develop a high-performing assurance team by embedding a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and clear performance expectations to ensure team effectiveness.
  • Strategically align team efforts with the business areas vision and policies.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively and empower team members through development opportunities.
4. Governance and Reporting
  • Draft high-quality, insightful assurance reports that identify root causes and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely capture of assurance findings on the relevant systems
  • Present updates and key insights at stakeholder meetings and risk forums, effectively communicating progress and concerns.
  • Report material issues through appropriate risk and assurance governance committees.
  • Continuously assess and enhance reporting to ensure it supports effective decision-making.
Education
  • Management role with over 8 years of experience
  • Bachelor of Accounting Sciences in Internal Auditing, Postgraduate Diploma in Risk Management or Related Fields.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies, combining audit and data analysis
  • Providing assurance reports and insights at the group level
  • Engaging in discussions with CRO and managers
  • Reporting Tools: OpenPages, SharePoint, Excel
  • Proficiency in automation and Power BI
