Job Description
Are you a highly experienced Materials Technician passionate about infrastructure projects? Our client is seeking a qualified Senior Materials Technician to join their team in either Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, or Cape Town.This is your chance to:-Contribute to a vital infrastructure project improving safety and connectivity.-Apply your expertise in materials testing, adhering to the latest COTO standard specifications (experience with COLTO is also considered).-Collaborate with a dedicated team in a dynamic construction environment.To be successful, you'll have:-A National Diploma in Civil Engineering (advantageous).-A minimum of 8 years' experience in materials testing.-Registration or candidate registration with ECSA (essential).-Thorough knowledge and understanding of specifications and Bill of Quantities (COLTO / COTO, SANS 1200, project-specific, etc.) is required.-Working knowledge and understanding of Conditions of Contract (GCC 2015) will be advantageous.-Management of Quality Control and a Civil Materials Laboratory (including SANS 17025) are essential skills.The project is currently mobilizing, so join us at the start and make a real impact!
