Senior Mechanical Engineer - DurbanFull job descriptionSummaryWe are looking for an individual with 10 years experience as registered ECSA - Pr Eng and design within the Building Services Sector. The position is based Durban / Kimberley branch servicing other branches.** RE ADVERT**Qualifications:Degree in Mechanical EngineeringECSA Pr. Eng RegistrationECSA Fire Registration (an advantage)Knowledge, skills and experience+10 years experience post qualification in the Building Services Sector with ECSA Registration ORExperience in designing within Healthcare Sector specifically , hospitalsCompetent on Mechanical design and installations (Wet Services, Fire Services , Medical Services, Compressed Air, Laundry Equipment etc.)Competent in tender and bills of quantities compilation and knowledge of various contracts e.g., JBCC, NEC3 etc.Competent with Designs and Construction ManagementCompetent to run a project from condition assessment, inception up to project handover stage with minimal to no supervision.Able to run the project financial management aspect comfortably with no supervision e.g., budgeting, payment certification, cost reporting, doing final accounts etc.Must be able to run large size (service value of +30million) comfortably without supervision including mega size (service value of +R100million) projects with no supervision at all.Vastly experienced and knowledgeable in doing site inspections/condition assessments and reports.Experience in client liaison, professional teams engagements, meetings and site supervision.Experience in writing good and quality technical reports.Experience in doing feasibility studies and reportsMinimum 5 years experience in mentoring other engineers.Draft , implement , monitor Project Cashflow for the department, revise and present reports to Senior Management on monthly or as in when required.Ensure that cashflows are prepared accurately and capture projects to be invoiced and quantum to be invoiced on a monthly basis.Liaise with finance on a regular basis and give cashflows of what needs to be invoiced on monthly basis as accurately as possible.Conduct skills audit for the department on a continuous basis and report on skills gap to Senior Management and Human Resources on a monthly basis.Strong analytical, literacy and numerical skills.Good written and verbal communication skills.Proven effective leadership skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.Job RequirementsECSA Pr Eng Registration mandatoryRegistrations with ASHRAE, SAIRAC, SAIMECHE are advantageousExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Design experience of existing high-rise buildingsCANUTE or any other Fire SoftwareAUTOCAD / Revit exposure.Must be willing to travel and work long hours for project requirements purpose.Have a Drivers License (with his/her own car)Must be willing to be based in both locationsRemuneration Structure:Basic Salary (* Market related depending on skills, competency and experience*)PensionMedical AidECSA Professional Membership Fee SponsorshipTravel reimbursementsRemote Working :NB: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted .No unsolicited recruitment agencies will be acceptedJob Type: Full-timePay: From R65 000,00 per monthExperience:Mechanical Engineering withing building services: 7 years (Required)Mechanical Engineering: 7 years (Required)License/Certification:ECSA Professional Engineering Registration (Required)Location:Durban, KwaZulu-Natal (Required)Application Deadline: 2024/11/30Expected Start Date: 2025/01/20
