Come work with us and wear what you love.The Role:Our Cape Town-based team is looking for a Merchant to support the merchandising team . The role focuses on the execution of winning product assortments by building rich and well-informed perspectives on local consumer and market dynamics, cultural influences, general trends and competitive intelligence.With us you will:Owner of End-to-End Category merchandising management.Create category strategy to win in the market & deliver financials.Build assortment at gender/category/channel/account level within the regional guidelines to ensure a consistent look and feelDeep understanding of local socio, political and creative trends and ability to anticipate consumer behaviors and inform the regional brand responsesInterpret and incorporate local brief needs into requirements for the regional teamsContribute to all aspects of Product Management activitiesInform and implement brand strategiesIdentify and assist in developing quick response productsInform an assortment plan that considers all local requirementsThoughtfully manages risk to take advantage on market opportunitiesMonitor and share competitor trends including pricing strategies for different accounts / channels and consumer segments.Create a team that is culturally connected, driven to win and innovative with a relentless focus on the consumer and the competitionFunctional Competencies:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsHas strong analytical skillsPresent good problem-solving skills.Manage Processes end to endManage Merchandise InformationProactive and innovative forward thinkerAbility to collaborate with & influence cross functions.A high degree of flexibility and initiativeAble to work independentlyWhat we need:4 year Degree or relevant diplomaMinimum of 5-8 years work experience as a buyerExperience in womenswear will be advantagesShould you meet all the above requirements and wish to apply for the vacancy, please send your CV directly tolssahr@levi.com Please also inform your Line Manager of your intent to apply for the position prior to the submission of your application.
