Job Description
Our client is a leading financial services institution in South Africa, renowned for providing a robust platform for the listing and trading of securities. They play a pivotal role in driving economic growth and value creation, serving as a critical interface between capital providers and seekers.Requirements:Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in network administration, with at least 5 years specializing in Cisco technologies.
- Proficiency in networking protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) and a deep understanding of firewall configurations, routing, and switching.
- Strong experience with Microsoft, Linux, and open-source operating systems' network technology stacks.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement network solutions in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with market connectivity requirements.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Knowledge of shared infrastructure service methodologies (IaaS, PaaS).
- Previous experience in mentoring and leading technical teams.
