Job Summary :
We have an amazing opportunity for a Senior PHP Developer in Johannesburg!
We require a candidate with:
- 5+ years of proven and demonstrable software development experience in PHP Laravel framework, developing Front-end and Back-end Development (Full stack)
- Write "clean", well designed code that is efficient, testable and reusable
- Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
- Develop and deploy new features
- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Firm grasp of object orientated programming and design
- Understanding of Test Driven Development and automated testing
- Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX etc.
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks including jQuery, VueJS, and similar technologies
- Good knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL
- Experience in creating and integrating JSON API's
- Experience using version control tools such as Git and GitHub
- Strong knowledge of web application exploits and their solutions
- Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
- Experience in deploying Laravel on Cloud architecture incl. MS Azure, AWS and Google Cloud
- Having integrated with 3rd party API's from payment platforms and other providers, will be an advantage
