We are seeking a Senior PostgreSQL Operations Specialist for a flexible resources assignment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database access monitoring solutions for PostgreSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and security.Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build a database access monitoring solution for PostgreSQL databases, both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Collaborate with team members on system analysis, design, development, and testing within an agile/DevOps delivery model.
• Implement automated test cases to ensure technical solutions meet expected outcomes and business objectives.
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures, protocols, and system documentation.
• Support operational excellence goals by resolving escalated support topics and ensuring high availability of critical applications.
• Plan and execute upgrades of existing applications, tools, and features.
• Configure DAM software according to requirements and conduct functionality and performance tests.
• Operate DAM Tool in a 24 x 7 manner, ensuring high availability and continuous functionality.
• Engage with support providers regarding PostgreSQL operational topics and oversee planned and ongoing tasks and activities related to the DAM Tool.
• Build a cloud solution for Database Activity Monitoring, exploring different cloud technologies and PostgreSQL cloud solutions.

Essential Skills Requirements:

• Experience with PostgreSQL in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL architecture, query optimization, and database administration.
• Database security knowledge and familiarity with cloud technologies.
• Experience with Linux, including Shell Scripting and VI skills.
• Experience in administrating Java Web-Applications and scripting with XMLAPI functions.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Work experience with incident management, change management, and problem management.

Advantageous Skills Requirements:

• ITIL certification.
• Basic experience with SPLUNK.
• Experience with database auditing, logging, and monitoring.
• Written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of data modeling and data visualization tools.
• Cloud Experience, familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Qualifications/Experience:

• BA/BS Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of total experience with 3+ years in a Mid to Senior role.
