Senior Power Electronics Engineer

Job Summary INTRODUCTION A well-established company in Bryanston, Gauteng is looking to employ a Senior Power Electronics Engineer. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Relevant Tertiary Qualification (BSc, BEng Preferred) At least 7 years hands-on experience in power electronics. Experience in High-Speed DC Breakers (Rail, Mining and Solar) Must be able to provide high level design as well as detailed design calculations for client-specific applications. Must have the ability to pro-actively engage in sales and pursuing new clients. Must be able to manage a technical team. Excellent interpersonal skills. Should have knowledge of DC Breaker market in South Africa and preferably broader Africa. RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Managing a technical team in refurbishing/repairing and fault-finding of High Speed DC Breakers. Attending to providing client-specific solutions. Quoting/tendering for new supply of High Speed DC Breakers and/or related services. Maintaining client relationships. Pursuit of new clients. Applying quality measures to ensure ISO9001 standard compliance.
