JOB DESCRIPTION - Senior PR ACCOUNT MANAGERPrimary ResponsibilityBased on excellent knowledge of client business, provide senior level account planning, implementation and oversight of several accounts / projects.Purpose of the RoleTo drive team excellence and provide excellent client services by:Developing and implementing client strategy, demonstrating excellent financial management skills, staff coaching and expense control in order to meet client objectivesKey ResponsibilitiesResponsible for developing key relationships with client beyond just the management of their businessDrafting public relations strategy for client'sManage multiple client's/ongoing projects, dependent on billingsTo ensure a clear understanding of the client's strategic and operational requirements and communicate these deliverables to your teamManage team and ensure deliverables are met according to client briefExcellence in writing and editing materials including client press releases, articles, social media content plans, correspondence and reportsTake a leadership role in new business development and proposalsManagement of client meetings (ongoing or project)Oversee reporting to ensure the highest standard - status reports, call reports, feedback reports, campaign reportsTo work with the AD to monitor income from all client accounts and cost: income ratio's are kept lowTo drive recruitment and development of staffTo manage the performance of the AMs and other direct business reportsTo create clear PDPs for direct reports, along with ADSkills ProfileEnjoys fast-paced retail environmentExcellent presentation skillsHas proven capability to lead, inspire and manage a teamExcellent communication skillsExcellent relationship management skillsAbility to implement and interpret media campaign across traditional and non-traditional marketsAbility to manage campaigns independently, with excellent financial managementKnowledge and ExperienceDiploma or degree in Communications and/or Public RelationsAt least five years public relations experienceHas proven experience as an AM at an agencyBroad based exposure to all skills including proposal planning, writing, media relations and social mediaProven track record in growing businessDirect experience in building and managing teamsHas proven campaign/event management / media / social media management experienceExcellent relationship management and financial skillsA Team Player who...Is passionate about the client, work and Magna CartaPresents positively in all that they doMotivates and empowers othersImmediately addresses conflict and does not let own personal circumstances impact performance and/or deliverablesTakes responsibility for completing tasks timeously and keeping client and line manager informedShoots the lights out and always overdelivers.
