We pride ourselves in helping our employees to realise their worth.The overall purpose of the role:The purpose of this role is to provide quotations in respect of new clients and existing clients to ensure profitability and sustainability by taking the risk profile, experience and other relevant information into account while building and maintaining relationships with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders through expertise, service and support.Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that legislative requirements are met to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare quality new business quotation documents and/or amendment documents to be issued to clients.
  • Accurate recording of data for business intelligence and reporting.
  • Consider wider topics of risk management such as occupational and industry risks and trends.
  • Constant upskilling in our products as that will impact on the decisions you make when preparing quotations.
  • Constantly be on the lookout to improve/optimize internal processes.
  • Ensure all work is accurate and delivered on a professional level.
  • Ensure processes are adhered to and records are updated.
  • Ensure all quotations are finalized within the agreed turnaround times and allocated timeframes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all authorization requirements are met.
  • Ensure that any irregularities are brought to the attention of the team leader.
  • Contribute towards reducing departmental operating costs.
  • Keep up to date with changes in the business, department, industry and legislature.
  • Work together with all stakeholders (in and external) to support client retention and new business acquisition via excellent customer service.
  • Provide support/coaching/training to junior team members to ensure constant upskilling and investing in the team's growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support special projects (revisions, quote projects) as allocated by the Team Leader / Manager.
  • Work-flow coordinator on rotating basis:
  • Receive quotation requests via quotes inbox and capture these onto the system.
  • Make sure and monitor on daily basis that no quotes are overlooked.
  • Strive to delegate work to team members as quickly as possible.
  • Prioritize, manage and control urgent requests received and ensure these are produced ASAP.
  • Handling of queries/quotes that do not meet minimum requirements.
  • Check that all documentation required is received, and contact intermediaries to inform them of outstanding information.
  • Willingness to assist quotes team with backlog /urgent requests.
  • Ensure any irregularities are brought to the attention of the team leader.
Qualification and Experience:
  • Grade 12 with Mathematics (minimum C symbol with regards to Mathematics - not Mathematics literacy).
  • Post matric qualification e.g. IRF will be advantageous.
  • Good excel knowledge
Knowledge and Skills:
  • 5 years Employee Business experience.
  • Knowledge of the pension funds act.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, OneDrive for Business, MS SharePoint and MS Teams).
  • Excellent analytical thinking with regards to identifying, analysing and solving problems.
