Job Description
Job Summary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure comprehensive and safe patient care by mitigating risks and meeting clinical quality standards
- Manage the patient experience
- Ensure optimal supply, retention and utilization of staffing resources
- Empower and build staff competence through continuous assessments and development
- Assist with the effective management of operational expenses (including stock and capital)
- Degree/ Diploma in General Nursing
- 3 years post qualification experience
- Pharmacology
- Nursing record keeping
- Nursing processes and procedures
- Computer literate
- Relevant nursing legislation
- Infection prevention and control
- Scientific nursing principles and process
- Audit patient records
- Patient assessment skills
- Develop/ modify a nursing care plan
- Scope of practice for nurse practitioners
- For specialized wards; ACLS, ATLS, PALS trained
- Risk identification
- Analyzing and interpretation skills
- Basic life support trained
- Mentorship
