Job Description

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our client's team in Cape Town, South Africa. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing various engineering projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project success. In this role, you will take charge of the design of high-end commercial and industrial solar systems. It is your responsibility to ensure their compliance with regulations and standards, as well as adherence to the best engineering practices. This thrilling position involves designing renewable energy systems, projecting costs, estimating system production, and guaranteeing the operational strength of our systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee engineering projects from initiation to completion
• Designing renewable energy systems in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Develop project objectives, plans, and schedules
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Prepare and generate estimates for installations
• Manage a design team consisting of Project Engineers, Interns, and Draughtsmen to successfully accomplish design tasks.
• Monitor and report on project progress and performance
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations
• Review and approve project deliverables
• Manage project resources, including staff and equipment
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with all project stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum qualification of Pr Eng in Electrical Engineering
• Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa as a Professional Engineer/Engineering Technologist
• Experience working with solar
• Strong technical knowledge and expertise in engineering principles
• Excellent project management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• Proficiency in concurrently managing and executing multiple projects.
