A leading provider of specialized fund administration services for private equity funds is looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join its growing Cape Town team.The company is known for delivering efficient and scalable solutions to accelerate fund launches and manage large-scale operations.Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly financial statement packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Lead the in-depth review of the general ledger, income statement, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Post journal entries to the general ledger, and manage fixed asset depreciation and amortization.
• Oversee the review of variance commentary prepared by the property management teams.
• Manage cash flow operations, ensuring timely payments for utilities, taxes, mortgages, and owner distributions.
• Oversee the review and posting of cash receipts and vendor invoice payments.
• Assist in the audit processes, ensuring the timely provision of necessary documentation and explanations.
• Lead and mentor junior staff, assisting with their development through training on key accounting functions and industry-specific knowledge.
• Interact regularly with property management teams and external clients to ensure expectations are met and exceeded.
• Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring timely payments and proper accounting of invoices.

• A bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• AGA (SA), CGMA or Professional Accountant (SA) with 5+ years of PQE
• CA (SA)s with 2+ years of relevant PQE will also be considered.
• Accounting experience in real estate or fund administration services, with a solid understanding of property accounting.
• Experience with accounting software such as Yardi or similar real estate systems.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
