Who are we?Sanlam Group Technology is responsible for the provision of a digitally enabled technology service as a group COE, drive business and transformation and provide group-wide digital and data architecture. We operate the various technology platforms and shared services, ensure Cyber and Information Security resilience, and act as technology governance and risk orchestrator for technology across Sanlam.What will you do?As an SAP Security Specialist, you will be responsible to provide security support within the SAP landscape of Sanlam. That could include S/4H Finance, Solution Manager, GRC, ECC HR, BTP, Successfactors, HANA Databases etc. You will be responsible to assist with user/role remediation activities on the various SAP systems based on the Segregation of duties findings.You will assist with supporting the internal and external auditors with information and documentation required. You will assist with User License Audits and will maintain a close client and SAP CoE relationship to effectively support SLA's and OLA's between SGT and Business stakeholders.You will report to the Head of SAP Centre of Expertise (CoE) within Sanlam Group Technology (SGT), a Sanlam Life and Savings division and collaborate with direct and indirect teams to ensure governance, adherence, seamless service delivery and top-notch client support. You will maintain a close client and SAP CoE relationship to effectively support SLA's and OLA's between SGT and Business stakeholders.What will make you successful in this role?

  • Manage SAP Security JIRA requests, assess and allocate JIRA requests appropriately amongst the team.
  • Incident management and prompt resolution of security and authorization related issues according to Standard Operating Procedures and SLA's.
  • Provide operational and technical support to SAP (Developer, Functional, Basis) teams and Business.
  • Facilitate testing for security roles as part of the change management approval process.
  • Collaborate with process and business owners and SAP Functionals to define authorization requirements for end users.
  • Ensure audit compliance in user access and Change Management processes.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls that mitigate business risks.
  • Work closely with GRC CoE to ensure implementation of SOD remediation activities.
  • Work with internal and external audit teams to provide audit support and assist in the remediation of audit compliance related findings.
  • Responsible for coordinating and managing regular reviews of user's access including privileged user logs and critical roles.
  • Perform monthly/regular Manual Control (MCP) reviews.
  • Log SAP OSS Calls for complex SAP Security issue and implement SAP recommendations for resolution.
  • Ensure alignment with SAP CoE governance procedures, and principles.
  • Assist with Security requirements during SAP system refreshes and upgrades.
  • Manage Business as Usual (BAU) projects within the SAP Security area.
  • Serve as the SAP Security Subject Matter Expert supporting end to end SAP Security lifecycle processing from design, testing, implementation and support.
Qualification
  • Matric
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent is recommended.
  • SAP Authorizations/GRC certification would be advantageous
Experience
  • 8 + years of SAP Authorizations experience
  • Involvement in at least 2 full life cycle implementations
  • Cloud experience will be beneficial.
  • HANADB Privileges
  • S/4H security/authorizations experience
  • SAP BW Analysis Authorizations an advantage
Knowledge
  • Technical knowledge and experience with SAP Authorization Concepts, User and Role administration in SAP NetWeaver, S4 HANA, HANADB, Fiori, and BW Analysis Authorizations, and SAP Licence Administration.
  • Troubleshooting complex security issues related to S4 HANA, Fiori Catalogs and Groups, Business Objects Analysis Authorizations and Solution Manager ChaRM.
  • Escalation procedures and incident management within the support function.
  • Control and Compliance requirements, Security Audit Cycles, SAP GRC Access Controls, Emergency Access Management and Risk Analysis Remediation.
  • Understating of Business processes.
  • System Change Management procedures.
  • SAP Modules FI, CO, MM, IM, SD, PM, MDG and key Business Processes Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Report to Close and related Workflow approval functionality.

  • Ability to collaborate with SAP Functional and Technical teams to drive remediation plans and impact thereof
  • Ability to proactively analyse high risk permissions
  • Ability to interpret and interrogate written requirements specification documents
  • Ability to deliver in accordance with strict deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
