We are a well-established property management company with a growing portfolio of residential and

commercial properties. With over 400 buildings under management in the UK, we pride ourselves on

delivering high-quality service to our clients. Due to ongoing expansion, we are looking for a Senior

Service Charge Accountant to join our remote finance team in South Africa, supporting our UK-based operations.





This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong property accounting experience who is eager to apply their expertise in an international setting. You will work closely with a team of Account Managers, Credit Controllers, Accounts Administrators, and Property Managers, reporting directly to the Head of Service Charge Accounts.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of accruals and prepayments Trial balance preparation Compilation of annual leasehold and company accounts in compliance with ACCA and ICAEW

standards

Coordination with external accountants and auditors Regular communication with clients and property management teams Year-end reconciliation of service charge accounts Bank account reconciliation Issuing Service Charge and Ground Rent demands Working with Accounts Payable/Receivable to manage supplier invoices and payments Assisting the Credit Controller with arrears collection Preparing draft budgets, including long-term financial planning Processing supplier invoices efficiently and accurately

Requirements:

A degree in Accounting or Finance and a professional qualification (SAICA or equivalent) Proven experience in property accounting Strong understanding of property accounting principles and service charge management Excellent communication and technical skills Proficiency in property accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with an international team Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
