As a

Senior Shopify Developer / AI Expert

at Growmodo, your mission is to build high-converting, AI-enhanced Shopify stores that combine exceptional user experience with powerful e-commerce functionality. You'll leverage AI-driven tools and workflows to create scalable, visually compelling, and optimized online stores that drive measurable business growth for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and Innovate:

Lead the design and development of sophisticated Shopify solutions that set new industry standards, leveraging AI technologies to create cutting-edge e-commerce experiences.

Strategic Leadership:

Provide technical and strategic direction on complex Shopify projects, balancing business requirements with technical feasibility while incorporating AI-powered optimizations.

Drive Innovation:

Pioneer new approaches in Shopify development, including custom apps, performance enhancements, and complex integrations that utilize AI for improved customer experiences and operational efficiency.

Mentorship:

Cultivate a skilled development team through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and fostering an environment of continuous learning about both Shopify and emerging AI technologies.

Client Partnership:

Act as a strategic partner, advising clients on e-commerce best practices and how to leverage Shopify alongside AI solutions to achieve measurable business goals and competitive advantages.

Project Management:

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality Shopify implementations in a remote environment.

Technical Integration:

Seamlessly connect Shopify with third-party services, payment solutions, and AI-driven marketing and analytics tools to create comprehensive e-commerce ecosystems.

Performance Optimization:

Implement advanced techniques for optimizing store speed, search visibility, and conversion rates using both traditional and AI-enhanced methodologies.

Must-Haves:

Shopify Expertise:

Advanced proficiency with Shopify theme development, Liquid templating, and the Shopify Admin API.

AI Integration:

Experience implementing AI-powered solutions for e-commerce, such as product recommendations, chatbots, or predictive analytics.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and responsive design principles in the Shopify context.

E-commerce Optimization:

Deep understanding of e-commerce UX, conversion optimization, and AI-enhanced shopping experiences.

App Development:

Experience with Shopify app development or extensive knowledge of app integration and customization.

Problem-Solving Mindset:

Ability to analyze complex e-commerce challenges and implement AI-powered solutions to improve performance and user experience.

Performance Optimization:

Hands-on experience optimizing Shopify store speed, responsiveness, and search engine visibility.

Leadership:

Proven experience in mentoring junior developers, leading e-commerce projects, and establishing development standards.

Project Management:

Ability to manage development timelines, collaborate cross-functionally, and meet deadlines in a remote team.

Communication Skills:

Strong ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Haves:

Headless Commerce:

Experience with headless Shopify implementations using Hydrogen, Oxygen, or other frameworks.

Multiple Store Management:

Experience managing multi-store or multi-market Shopify setups with AI-powered inventory or content management.

Shopify Plus:

Familiarity with Shopify Plus features, including Shopify Scripts, Flow, and Launchpad.
