Our Product Delivery team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software C# Mobile Engineer to join us in building, enhancing, and maintaining cutting-edge applications that make a meaningful impact on our clients by optimizing their business performance and solving complex technical challenges, with a specific focus on Mobile Apps.




On a daily basis, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software in terms of requirements, design, code and documentation, all aimed at exceeding customer and business partner expectations.




This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days per week on-site at our Johannesburg office.

Key Responsibilities

- Contribute to quality activities, incl. peer reviews of estimates, designs and code


- Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches


- Work cross-functionally with various Sage teams: product management, QA/XD, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results


- Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle


- Continuously strive to make improvements to the existing products and/or systems and services.


- Provide 3rd tier support and/or expertise for the area of responsibility

Your first 90 days at Sage will give you the opportunity to learn about the business while also getting up to speed with the products, internal processes, and deployment workflows. You will collaborate with your manager and team to complete the Sage onboarding program. Staying focused and self-motivated will be key to your success. Additionally, taking positive action and being open to giving and receiving feedback and guidance are essential.

- University Degree in Computer Science or Related field


- 5 years' experience in a previous development role


- C#, AWS, Microsft SQL,
ASP.Net, Javascript, HTML, CSS


- Knowledge on Architecture Best Practices and Patterns (Microservices, CQRS, Event Sourcing, Domain-Driven Design, ...)


- Broad operational knowledge in 21st Century IT (Cloud, Social, Mobility, IoT, Big Data...)


- Ability to interpret and document user requirements and translate these into technical specifications and/or code


- Passion for being a hands on techie
