Job Description

Our client in the telecommunications sector is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect for a 6 months contract role.Client requires the Senior Solutions Architect to render the below services for the stipulated duration
- Aligns the vision of clients with the strategic objectives of IS in order to be part of a team with technical expertise and common goals
- Implementing best practices to achieve technical excellence taking cognisance of the impact these changes will have on the total organisation
- Analyses business change drivers to determine business, information, solution and information technology requirements
- Ensuring alignment to architecture frameworks, ensuring documents and artefacts are up to date, complete and correct to ensure efficient operation of the Architecture team
- The Enterprise Solution architecture is multi-disciplinary, covering application, data, infrastructure, operating system, database, middleware integration, network, security and business architecture aspectsSolution Design
- Perform all the analysis, design, modelling and documentation tasks necessary to create solution architectures for complex (multi-application) business and technical projects.
- Lead projects (from a design and technical leadership perspective) through the systems development life cycle, including the successful adherence to all relevant IS governance.
- Ensure alignment of solution architectures to clients Enterprise Architecture strategies, frameworks, principles, standards and policies across all Enterprise Architecture domains (business, application, data, integration, security, infrastructure, etc).
- Ensure that technical designs for systems & applications are integrated end-to-end; are consistently applying clients Enterprise Architecture standards; are technically sound and sustainable; are aligned to IT best practises; are suitable within the clients context.
- Design IT solutions that meets business and IT requirements, and includes functionality, processes, data, products to be used, application interfaces internal and external
- Analysis and design tasks related to the development of a project based solution architecture aligned to the clients Enterprise Architectures (business, application, data, integration, security, and infrastructure)
- Study of complete integration and architecture context of a required solution
- Compiling and delivering of key solution design artefacts as the baseline for solution development.
- Pivotal interaction point for all consultation on direction and guidance for technical solution and integration
- Lead design and integration sessions
- Compile and propose new architectural solutions and directions required to achieve the business goals of the solution
- Perform the necessary analysis, design, modelling and documentation tasks necessary to pass clients IS governance forums
- Provide technical advice by evaluating new technologies and products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within clients IS applications
- Design and participate in the implementation of an enterprise architecture based on business requirements and information technology strategies and trends-delivery
- Provide support to client with Enterprise Architecture teams on the IT trends, product evaluations and proof of technologies / concepts, application trends, competitor practises and leverage of emerging IT technologies to support strategic business requirements
