Job Description


Job Summary Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and culinary operations management.
  • Supervising kitchen staff and ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
  • Training and mentoring junior chefs and kitchen personnel.
  • Monitoring food costs, inventory levels, and wastage to maximize profitability.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Collaborating with the Executive Chef to create innovative dishes and menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-end hotel or fine dining establishment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and sanitation standards.
  • Creative flair and passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Experience in game lodge or remote location hospitality is advantageous.
