It's all about helping you get more out of a connected world!To assist in the management insight and reporting function, budget control, statistical analysis, and provide insights to enhance the regional commercial performance. : To perform management insights and reporting function, budget control, statistical analysis and provide insight and recommendations to improving the regional 's commercial performance. To centrally manage and oversee the insights and reporting, analysis, and budget control functions for the Technology, Vodacom Business, and Consumer space within the organization, providing insights and recommendations to enhance commercial performance at a regional level.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Centralised financial administration of Opex and Capex budgets for the Technology, Vodacom Business, and Consumer space.
  • Conducting comprehensive customer base and segment analysis to provide strategic input for customer base management initiatives.
  • Generating KPI reports at a regional level and contributing to the realisation of the regional strategy.
  • Analysing channel and store performance and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability. Benchmarking regional cost and performance efficiencies, and initiating, monitoring, and managing cost reduction initiatives.
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement within the commercial function, seeking opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize resource allocation. Implementing best practices and benchmarks to drive performance improvement over time.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment of commercial strategies with broader organizational objectives. Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate effective decision-making and execution of commercial initiatives.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to team members within the commercial function, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment. Developing the skills and capabilities of team members through training, coaching, and mentorship initiatives.
  • Generate comprehensive monthly reports on key performance metrics, including but not limited to revenue, sales, market share, customer acquisition, and churn.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting, adhering to agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Customise reports to meet the needs of various stakeholders, providing actionable insights and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Present monthly reports to senior management and other relevant stakeholders, highlighting trends, performance drivers, and areas for improvement.
  • Generate comprehensive monthly reports on key performance metrics, including but not limited to revenue, sales, market share, customer acquisition, and churn.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting, adhering to agreed-upon deadlines.

The Ideal Candidate for this role will have:Must have technical / professional qualifications:
  • Matric / Grade 12
  • 3-year financial or commercial diploma or degree (NQF 6 or higher) or SAQA accredited equivalent with 5 years relevant experience
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:
  • Financial analysis and forecasting
  • Budget and cost control
  • Revenue recognition and management
  • Risk management and mitigation
  • Financial reporting and compliance
  • Relationship management and collaboration
Experience:
  • 5-years working knowledge of financial principles, and commercial and financial functions within the telecommunications industry
