  • To manage, maintain, and provide strategic and technical direction on compensation, ensuring that the strategic initiatives are developed, implemented, and operated as expected.
  • Ensure valid, timely, and accurate commission compensation to our internal and external customers.
  • Ensure that functionality developed and deployed fulfills the business requirement, is delivered on time, and does not negatively impact our daily production operations.
  • Ensure that products and services configured on the commission system meet the business requirements and are configured accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance,
  • To implement continual process improvements on all production activities within the department
  • To monitor and correct data incongruences that could directly impact the quality and accuracy of compensation-run processes
Your responsibilities will include:
  • To conduct strategic and tactical planning, business analysis, and high-level requirements determination
  • Regularly review and update the commission policy to ensure it remains relevant.
  • Technically Supervise and Manage a team of specialists providing mentorship towards enhancing competencies.
  • To manage the successful implementation of commission solutions to the business and channel partners
  • To ensure that all reengineering initiatives consider the impact on systems.
  • End to End Management of Vodacom's Commission systems and processes including, but not limited to
  • Collect and interpret data related to commission payout.
  • Review statistics to ensure accurate compensation, identify trends and discrepancies, and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Generate reports and insight to identify trends or areas for improvement.
  • Adhere to all SOX and audit governance related to the commission system.
  • Collaboration and support to finance and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of commission plans.
  • To carry out system-wide reconciliations
  • To assist in managing contracts and service level agreements with the business, suppliers, and channel partners. This includes the ability to manage a mix of off-shore and onshore suppliers
The Ideal Candidate for this role will have:Must have technical / professional qualifications:
  • Grade 12 essential.
  • Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technologies or related field (essential)
  • Post Grad Degree or Professional Qualification (desirable)
  • Minimum of 5 - 8 years IT and Commission management experience (essential)
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant management/ supervisory experience (essential)
  • Technical strong in sql (essential)
  • Solid Data analysis
  • Track record of managing and developing people (essential)
  • Track record of vendor management with experience in managing off-shore vendors (advantage)
  • Project Management Experience (desirable)
  • Experience in the IT/Telecommunications industry (desirable)
  • Sound business acumen and understanding of Information systems

  • Proven track record in designing and managing complex commissions structures.
  • People Leadership capabilities - Experience in leading teams of highly skilled business and technical resources
  • Collating information from various business and technical stakeholder groups.
  • Flexible: able to adjust easily to rapid change, a strong sense of urgency and able to work well under pressure
