Certified by the Top Employer Institute 2024.Role Purpose:Coordinates and supports financial decision-making through structured analysis and interpretation of financial and non-financial data.Your responsibilities will include:1. Business Case Development

  • Gather all inputs from commercial & technical departments & external references
  • Provide the methodology and best practices
  • Review business cases and challenge divisions by proposing alternatives to drive value
  • Present trade-offs and rank alternatives
  • Support senior management to take the appropriate decision
  • Identify ways to track actual results
  • Ensure governance policies are followed
2. Business Partner Decision Support
  • Traffic economics
- Build & maintain bottom-up traffic model (devices, active users, usage, roaming customers etc.)- Monthly reporting on actuals vs budgeted views- Forecasting- Provide insights into Site Profitability
  • Technology Intracompany service pricing - identify and evaluate any Technology services rendered across business areas (RAN, Transmission, Core etc.) Formulate methodologies and reporting that support charge backs.
  • Support effectiveness of working capital on all Technology equipment (End-end process tracking: Budget approval/PO creation + receipting/order/cash flow)
  • Wholesale Support
- Provide best practices & methodologies for Technology cost allocation / recovery- Automation of pricing models that will assist EBU & Wholesale to seamlessly extract updated costing
  • Site Profitability maintenance - Quarterly reports on site performance (Financial & Technical).
  • Network Operational costs due diligence - ongoing tracking & reporting on accuracy and key governance on Opex costs.
  • Regulatory support - provide best practices and methodologies for costing requirements.
  • Ad-hoc requests that support the on-going operational control environment over financial items (cross functional support to FP&A team)
  • Manage reports/extracts required by EHOD/PS
3. Post-implementation Reviews (PIR)
  • Carry out ex post analysis / Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs) & propose recommendations
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • BCom, CIMA and/or B Tech advantageous. At least 5 year experience in Telecommunications. Experience in Technology Operations dealing with Technical Services and Resources will be advantageous. Deep understanding of Business Cases requirements for Key Strategic and Capex Projects
  • At least 5 years' relevant industry experience, preferably gained in a fast-moving multinational environment (experience in Technology (Network & IT) essential).
  • Experience in Technology resource systems / platform to access Technology insights would be advantageous
  • Business support, financial planning and cost modelling expertise will be an advantage for the role however relevant Technical Operational experience is considered to be equally advantageous
  • Experience of cost efficiency programs advantageous
  • Experience of working with a range of stakeholders with differing or competing requirements and consistently exceeding their expectations; and
  • Excellent presentation skills, particularly communicating to a non-Finance audience
