Job Summary Our client in the telecommunications space is hiring for a Senior Specialist: Financial Planning Analysis independent contractor to join their team for 6 months. The role will be hybrid and based in Midrand. The role is responsible to support the Executive Head and Principal Specialist: Financial Planning and Analysis in ensuring accurate reporting to Vodafone Group, analysing data and generating insights from financial reports to drive better insights into business performance. The role is expected to manage all co-ordination needed with the regions and group to obtain necessary information for analysis, insights and enablement. B.Com Accounting Honours degree with 6+ years related experience; or CA / CIMA with 3+ years post articles related experience Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis acquired through related work experience Experience in HFM advantageous Experience in management reporting and analysis Exceptional accuracy Exceptional ability to problem solve Interest and experience in RPA tech tools advantageous Interest and experience in RPA tech tools advantageous Advanced Excel and PowerPoint Excellent interpersonal skills; Analytical Knowledge and understanding of financial applications; Industry knowledge advantageous. To ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results in accordance with requirements for actual and planning cycles Provide support to the companies Subsidiaries during month-end closure, forecast and budget cycles and full scope business partnering with the Operating companies Review and report financial information accurately and timeously Provide insightful management information with focus on month, quarter, half year, and annual results Contribute towards the development and improvement of financial policies, procedures and systems of internal controls in line with the Groupxc3xa2xe2x82xacs internal control processes. performance reporting, reviewing and analysis Support EHOD FPA team with the Month-end-close including Early View Rolling Forecast process for the Group, trend informing insights, review with EHOD providing validation, support and alignment Support with external reporting xc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x80x9c confirm figures to Investor Relations team Assist with process automation and testing xc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x80x9c Team is on a drive to automate repetitive processes , preparation of schedules/templates to support the reporting of financial data for actual and planning cycles to achieve standardization Maintain relationships with the Groupxc3xa2xe2x82xacs major shareholder and with subsidiaries.
