Location: RosebankJob responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Contributing to defining the overall portfolio strategy, objectives and/or prioritization criteria.
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio management framework to ensure all IM projects align with business objectives and enterprise architecture.
  • Project Prioritization & Governance: Establish a governance structure for project selection, prioritization, and execution, ensuring alignment with business needs and resource availability.
  • Portfolio Performance Tracking: Define and track portfolio-wide KPIs, financial performance, resource allocation, and project interdependencies.
  • Risk & Change Management: Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and challenges across the portfolio, implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting: Provide executive-level reporting on project status, portfolio health, and strategic alignment to key stakeholders.
  • Collaboration with Business & IT Teams: Work closely with Enterprise Architects, IT leaders, and Business Unit Heads to ensure successful project execution.
  • Continuous Improvement & Lessons Learned: Establish a culture of process improvement, innovation, and lessons learned from project implementations.
  • Technology & Vendor Management: Engage with vendors and technology providers to ensure projects leverage the right tools, solutions, and best practices.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Alignment: Ensure that all IM projects adhere to compliance, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain portfolio outcomes, technical outcomes and business capability outcomes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in IT Strategy, Business Administration (MBA), or Digital Transformation. (Desirable)
Experience
  • 5-7 Years of experience in Project & Portfolio Management (PPM), Digital Transformation, or IM/IT Program Management.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale IM/IT project portfolios, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals.
  • Extensive experience in managing budgets, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and how IM projects integrate within business processes.
  • Hands-on experience with project and portfolio management tools
  • Experience in reporting KPIs and portfolio health to executive leadership and governance committees.
  • Familiarity with mining industry-specific technology stacks and their digital transformation roadmaps.
Technical knowledge(experience) required for role:
  • Portfolio & Project Management Frameworks: Deep understanding of PPM methodologies (PMBOK, PRINCE2, MoP, SAFe Agile).
  • IT Governance & Compliance: Strong knowledge of COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, GDPR, and risk management frameworks.
  • Enterprise Architecture & IM Strategy Alignment: Ability to align IM projects with enterprise-wide architecture and business priorities.
  • Budget & Financial Management: Understanding of cost-benefit analysis, ROI calculations, and financial forecasting for IM investments.
  • Technology & Digital Trends: Knowledge of cloud computing, AI, automation, cybersecurity, and IoT in the mining sector.
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Experience negotiating and managing vendor contracts, SLAs, and technology partnerships.
