  • The Integration DevOps Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of service integration processes and tools to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery, maximizing the speed and quality of delivery across teams.
  • The role is responsible for automating build, release, deployment, and configuration activities for the Middleware Integration space.
  • This role will be working closely with DevOps Management, QA, and Systems Engineers to understand the solution requirements to support and operate accordingly.
  • This role must be flexible to constant business and technology change, with the ability to interact, engineer, and communicate collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • The role is responsible for building, enforcing and optimising the CICD pipeline rules and governance to increase quality and faster time to market.
  • The role is responsible for KPI management via building platforms that supports and ensures mandates of uptime, latency, resilience and security are met and are consistently above mandated levels.
  • The role trend analysis identifying recurring issues and root causes while implementing preventative measures or mechanisms to identify issues faster.
  • The role is responsible for creating processes and support mechanisms for API Consumers and Tenants of the platform further improving time to market.
  • The role has security management as a key deliverable, which includes and not limited to vulnerability management, obsolescence, auditing, risk management and access control.
  • This role will be required to explore and implement new initiatives, promoting automation, AI and optimising TCO.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • The Integration DevOps Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of processes and tools to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery, maximizing the speed and quality of delivery across teams.
  • This role is responsible for working closely with software, QA, and systems engineers to understand requirements and prototype, architect, implement, operate and update DevOps solutions accordingly.
  • CSI in current platform initiatives improving latency, resilience and preventing recurring outages via Self-Healing platform mechanisms.
  • Security and Audit Management ensuring Patching, Obsolescence, Vulnerability and Auditing requirements are met.
The Ideal Candidate for this role will have:Must have technical / professional qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Programming, or similar related field is essential
  • 5+ years' experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying DevOps toolchains to support continuous integration and continuous delivery, using a variety of technologies and environments
  • 5+ years' experience working with at least two or more programming languages (e.g., PHP, Java), virtualization (e.g., VMWare), database technologies (e.g., MySQL), and release and configuration management tools (e.g. Chef)
  • 5+ years' experience working Oracle Middleware Technologies (OSB, SOA, BPM, BAM, WebLogic) & Oracle Content Management (WCC)
  • 5+ years experience and knowledge of the telecommunications industry is essential.
  • Operational experience in supporting and maintaining large scale enterprise Middleware applications.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
  • Automated software and infrastructure deployment and configuration management
  • Public and private cloud IaaS and PaaS deployment models and technologies, e.g., Openstack, AWS, Azure, Oracle
  • Continuous integration and continuous delivery methodologies and tools
  • Production-readiness assessment of modules and supporting systems
  • Analytics and data-driven frameworks to monitor and optimize development and operations processes
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex problems or processes, identify and understand requirements, and develop solutions
  • Strong creativity, problem solving skills and ability to apply original thinking to produce new ideas and innovative solutions
  • Strong relationship building, persuasion, and collaboration skills that enables the coordination of activities between technical teams and the creation of new relationships with new acquaintances quickly and confidently

  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to apply work with and train a wide variety of roles to change ways of working and establish new processes
  • Highly effective planning and prioritisation skills
  • Willingness to track, assess, and incorporate practice and technology developments into day-to-day working
  • Ability to rapidly acquire new knowledge and learn new skills
  • Good understanding of the portfolio, wider organizational goals, and desired product business outcomes
