This role is fundamental to the effective delivery and implementation of end-to-end incentive and share programmes for the corporate office and operations.Anglo American is a global diversified mining business.   • Implement and maintain the various share scheme programmes across the business.
  • Develop policies, procedures and guidelines to support the management of share schemes and incentive programmes.
  • Provide guidance to the operations on application and implementation of operations specific share incentives.
  • Manage the AAP ESOP (Thobo) including trustee nominations, vendor management, share purchase requirements.
  • Coordinate the capacitation sessions educating employees on available share scheme and incentives programme including the rules of the share option scheme Thobo as part of the change management process.
  • Collaborate with HR partners to implement support employees to ensure they meet the requirements of the scheme pay out i.e., tax compliance.
  • Manage the external service providers responsible for the various share schemes.
  • Localise Group share scheme and incentive programmes and ensure ongoing applicability of these.
  • Partner with business and other HR departments to coordinate delivery of wholistic, considered solutions.
  • Prepare and manage the communication process relating to share schemes and incentives programs.
  • Monitor your costs against budget and either address, or advise your manager of, any variances of note.
  • Identify any opportunities for improved cost management and either address these, or raise them with your manager, as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • NQF 7 Degree in commerce or business science (B. Com, BBS) or related qualification
  • SARA certificate
Desirable:Post-graduate qualificationExperience:
  • 5 - 7 years' experience in the area of managing pension / retirement and / or provident funds and other employee benefits.
  • Sound understanding of theories and practices in remuneration (essential) and broader HR.
  • Sound technical expertise is required - i.e., legal, regulatory, and corporate governance knowledge of all employee share plans and arrangements and relevant corporate law (desirable)
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of share plan administration, gained in a relevant or similar environment, is likely to be required to operate at this level.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of Human Resources principles and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of certain legal frameworks that govern remuneration practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of share schemes and the applicable framework.
  • Advance level of knowledge of employee incentives programmes
  • Advanced knowledge of arithmetic and statistics and its application.
  • Proficient in numeracy - incentives calculations
  • Proficient in data analysis and strong detail orientated.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in computer skills and related discipline systems
