division, Acquisitions, Showmax Content Ops, Marketing, Product & Tech teamLocationJohannesburgPurpose of the PositionTo work with the Senior Manager and content teams to structure and guide the Sports content strategy, acquisitions and planning of Sports across multiple Platforms and to include Showmax.This individual is the link between Platforms, Acquisitions, Production, Social and Marketing.This individual will be responsible for sport manuals across all genres, special events, special programming, the execution thereof and the tiering of sport content for SA and MAH.This individual will have access rights holders portals and retrieve content that can be used across multiple platforms within the business.Schedulling of SuperSport OTT channels on DStv stream and other scheduling responsibilities.To work with multiple stakeholders to continuously improve workflows and services with a focus on optimal content discovery and improved client servicesThis individual will also look after Showmax and OTT content as well as the growth of our OTT and SVOD products and offerings.Determine the SS Catch up and VOD editorial content offering.Key Performance ObjectivesTasksStrategy and PlanningAdministrationDrive Content Discovery and navigation of content across multiple platforms including Showmax ensuring seamlesss viewing on servicing various devices.Analyse content performance and adjust content plans/strategies accordingly.Analyse content discovery metric performance (promo rows, billboards, asset weights) and manage updates in line with content strategies and analytics.Drive content discovery through the creation of themes based on public/external events, current trends and industry activity.Drive the creation and implementation of scheduling plans / strategies.Research and keep abreast of new industry content and consumption trends and how to support content innovation in the digital and VOD space.Facilitate monthly presentations to Programming Head of Department for approval across content selection.Liaise with Acquisitions regarding license availability and extention times for SVOD on Showmax.Daily and weekly sport reporting on events and hours of broadcast.GeneralManage process flows and deliverables between SuperSport, EPGenius and Showmax.Identify events for Promotions through callaboration with Programming, Media Planners, Showmax, SS Marketing, MCSA and MAH Marketing.Support business with any new developmentsDaily management and monitoring with operations for delivery and Maintenance through Synergy and EPGenius.Create monthly, quarterly and annual content plans and schedules in line with SuperSport content strategy.Update catalogue based on confirmed events.Create accurate content schedules which include all metadata (license periods, deletion dates, territories, images, promotions).Work with marketing and media planners to drive content acquisition and engagement outputs.Work with Auxplat regarding SVOD events for Showmax.Act as a link between multiple business units, Platforms, Acquisitions, Production, Social and Marketing.Plan and determine the weekly and monthly catch up content slate.ReportingManage the generation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, which will guide internal and external operations regarding the various stakeholder content workflows.ProjectsKeep abreast of new developments in technology and industry trends regarding exchange of material and information, analytics & content discoveryMaintain a customer centric approach to problem resolution by reaching out to other departments to ensure optimal solutions and customer satisfaction.Seek opportunities to continuously improve on delivery/processes/procedures to ensure success of business processesQualificationsRelevant BA degreePost graduate degree would be advantageousExperience & SkillsMinimum of 5years experience in Content acquisitions/distribution (licensing, structuring and drafting pay or free TV agreements)Practical industry experience (Sports content consumption and viewing trends, content protection/security, VODInternational market (acquisitions/distribution) experience will be an advantageStrong Understanding and experience of the VOD marketExcellent communication, analytical and organisation skillsAbility to work under
