SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established law firm is recruiting for an experienced Senior SQL Developer with a solid background in Microsoft SQL technologies.POSITION INFO:
Senior SQL Developer
Pretoria, Hybrid (after 6 months)Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
• Certifications in Microsoft SQL Server or Power BI (advantageous)

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of SQL development experience in a Microsoft environment.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
• Proven track record in BI development and data warehousing, with an emphasis on financial data.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to transform financial reporting requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of working efficiently with both IT and

teams. * Experience with financial systems and a deep understanding of their data and reporting structures including familiarity with financial principles and terminology.KPAs:

• Serve as the primary liaison between the IT and financial departments to fully understand and address financial reporting needs.
• Develop and implement tailored SQL and Power BI solutions to support financial data reporting and analysis.
• Create and maintain business intelligence solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, and related tools.
• Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for enhanced performance in financial data analysis and reporting.
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of ETL processes, with a focus on financial data, utilizing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across financial reporting systems.
• Build and manage OLAP cubes with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), focusing on financial key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
• Design and maintain robust data warehouse solutions to aggregate and report on financial data.
• Work closely with the financial department to identify, clarify, and prioritize reporting requirements and business objectives.
• Translate financial reporting needs into effective technical solutions using SQL and other Microsoft-based tools.
