A large consulting company with offices across South Africa is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team in Cape Town.

This is an opportunity to work on large structural projects with some of the leading minds in the industry.

Minimum requirements:

xc2xb7 BSc/MSc or BEng/Meng in structural engineering.

xc2xb7 Professionally registered with ECSA and/or IStructE is required. Candidates that have submitted their Pr.Eng applications will be considered.

xc2xb7 Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within a consulting engineering organisation operating within the commercial Built Environment space.

xc2xb7 Experience working with design teams, to complete tasks and produce high quality deliverables such as drawings, reports and calculations on time

xc2xb7 A willingness to learn and investigate technological systems and digital workflows.

xc2xb7 A strong interest in working on innovative and complex projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

xc2xb7 Take responsibility and accountability for all related design aspects.

xc2xb7 Guide and act as mentor to Junior Engineers and Modellers.

xc2xb7 Applies Project Management principles at a competent level.

xc2xb7 Coordinating with other disciplines on projects.

xc2xb7 Quality control on deliverables, including modelling works, data/parameter management).

xc2xb7 Remain ahead of the technology curve, regarding technological trends, as well as design execution.

xc2xb7 Work with scripts and add-ins to automate repetitive design aspects and/or to check various design compliance aspects (using e.g. Dynamo, Python).
