Requirements



A three (3) year tertiary qualification in an Engineering field Trade Tested Artisan or Technical Qualification in Electrical

field



A minimum of five (5) years post qualification experience in a

supervisory technical position



Computer Literacy (MS Office Applications & SAP) A valid Code B driver's licence

Key Performance Areas



Manage the Intelligent Transport System (ITS) depot by

ensuring it is run efficiently, staff are motivated and in



compliance with all relevant legislation and council policies



Ensure compliance with the OHS Act Implement the ITS maintenance plan by ensuring that the

relevant ITS equipment, predominantly Traffic Signals, is



properly maintained and complies with all applicable legislation



e.g. Metspec for ITS systems, South African Roads and Traffic



Signs Manual



Liaise with contractors and consultants to ensure the quality

of work is compliant with all relevant legislation and council



specifications and policies



Develop, establish and maintain an accurate inventory list of

all ITS installations per intersection



Manage the ITS depot budget Internal and external stakeholder engagement
