Current professional registration with a statutory
professional body in Engineering (ECSA) or Health
Sciences (HPCSA)
At least three (3) to five (5) years' relevant experience
A valid Code 08 (B) driver's licence
Note: Applicants will be required to work outside of
normal working hours which may include working after
hours
Key Performance Areas
Processes noise applications (exemptions, zoning and
special consent, business licence and building plans)
Assists in the approval of noise exemption applications
Undertakes or requests environmental impact assessments
and compiles reports
Investigates diverse noise complaints
Enforces the noise control regulations and liaises with Public
Prosecutors and legal counsel on prosecutions and
contentious issues
Undertakes routine inspections and monitoring
Performs administrative duties
Undergoes skills training
Initiates and coordinates community involvement within
sub-districts
