Job Description

:Key Performance OutputThe successful candidate will be reporting to the Manager Terminal Operations and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Management of real time capacity for exceptional circumstances (events/weather related) in coordination with the AMC.
• Manage planned downtime of infrastructure in line with operational demand.
• Perform research to ensure best practice in all processes throughout operations. Take the initiative to introduce new concepts for facilitation processes and co-ordinate these requirements with other division within Operations.
• Ensure compliance to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies and practices.
• Adhere to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies and practices.
• Ensure that operations are executed in accordance with existing contract (SLA).
• Manage people development initiatives such as performance management, succession planning, talent management etc. to ensure team performance meet required standards.
• Report on expenditures and highlighting areas of material variances.
• Manage resources to ensure maximum resource availability (resource uptime) and most effective allocation and coordination of l resources.
• Manage stakeholder ASQ and QMS results and outcomes.
• Identify cost-saving initiatives within area of control.
• Participate in the compilation of annual operational budgets and monitoring of expenditure against budget and amendments to forecast if needed.
• Ensure correct amount of physical and manpower resources to support process/ abnormal circumstances.

Technical Skills and ExperienceThe following skills and experience will be required:

• Bachelors Degree (3 years - 360 credits) NQF Level 7 in the relevant field is essential.
• 5 years operational experience in Airport Operations/ Operational Equivalent is essential.
• 3 years management experience on a supervisory level is essential.
• Valid Code B drivers licence is required.
