Senior Travel Specialist

Our client in the Hospitality industry is currently looking for a Senior Travel Specialist, in Sandton, Johannesburg.Responsibilities:

End-to-end itinerary Planning Design and manage customized travel experiences, including flights, accommodations, transfers, and activities.
Destination Expertise Provide expert knowledge on African travel destinations, ensuring clients receive tailored and seamless travel experiences.
Booking & Reservations Manage bookings through Tourplan NX or a similar Africa Destination Management booking system.
Client & Supplier Liaison Work closely with suppliers, lodges, hotels, and activity providers to secure bookings and special requests.
Problem Solving & Support Handle client inquiries, resolve travel-related issues, and provide exceptional service throughout the travel process.
Sales & Upselling Recommend additional travel experiences, upgrades, and special packages to enhance client trips.
Documentation & Compliance Ensure all travel documents, itineraries, and supplier confirmations are accurate and compliant with company standards.
Financial Accuracy Manage travel budgets, quotes, and invoicing, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

Requirements:

System Experience: Preference for Tourplan NX, but candidates with experience in similar African destination Management booking systems will be considered.
Company Focus: This is not a flight booking role candidates must have experience in Travel Destination Management.
Itinerary Planning: Must be skilled in planning end-to-end travel experiences, including flights, accommodation, and daily activities.
Africa Expertise: Experience with Africa Destination Management is essential.
Job Stability: Preference for candidates with a stable work history.
