Job Summary Qualifications
- Trade Tested (Red Seal)
- At least 5 years experience in the earthmoving industry
- Able to read and understand schematics
- Prepared to travel
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must be familiar with hydraulic pumps, drive motors, hydrostatic transmissions, hoses, cylinders, engines, drive trains and basic electronics, etc
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs to OEM specifications
- Complete job cards, timesheets, inspection reports, etc
- Sound knowledge of hydraulic systems and their basic principles as well as being able to read schematics
- Able to diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines, hydraulic systems and / or electrical / electronic systems
- Must be able to diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines
- Assist in repair and overhaul of components
- Carry out equipment repair assessments
- Ensure compliance to security
- Must be available to work overtime / standby, etc
