Qualifications

Requirements

At least 5 years experience in the earthmoving industry
Able to read and understand schematics
Prepared to travel
Must be able to read and write English
Must be familiar with hydraulic pumps, drive motors, hydrostatic transmissions, hoses, cylinders, engines, drive trains and basic electronics, etc
Must have a valid drivers license

Duties

Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs to OEM specifications
Complete job cards, timesheets, inspection reports, etc
Sound knowledge of hydraulic systems and their basic principles as well as being able to read schematics
Able to diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines, hydraulic systems and / or electrical / electronic systems
Must be able to diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines
Assist in repair and overhaul of components
Carry out equipment repair assessments
Ensure compliance to security
Must be available to work overtime / standby, etc
