Service Manager
Job Description
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Service Manager in the Agriculture industry, who will provide technical support to operations by ensuring availability of a large fleet of agricultural and road haulage equipment. The incumbent will need to take responsibility of the capital expenditure program by specifying and procuring new vehicles and equipment fit for purpose and specific applications, through implementing a continuous improvement program. Accountability will include the management of the department as a profit and loss centre and advising on cost effective preventative maintenance practices, so as to maximise asset life and availability. The role holder will keep the relevant General Manager and Regional Technical Manager aware of any relevant new equipment developments and assist in seeking continuous operational improvements. The role holder will also be responsible for the repair of plant, machinery and equipment and the quality control thereof.
