Service Project Engineer - Port ElizabethFull job descriptionCLOSING DATE 21 JUNE 2024 NOV Energy Equipment South Africa is seeking a proficient Service Project Engineer to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will support the Service management team to plan, schedule, coordinate, monitor Field Service projects in an efficient and effective manner, through project planning, administrative and technical support responsibilities.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, resource and tooling requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.Create and track Vendor purchase orders for parts, tools and services for internal and external customer requirements.Track customer quotations, purchase orders, project cost and variation orders as required through the duration of projects.Provide status reporting for ongoing and future service projects.Assist the Service and other RA departments with technical support and analysis.Assist the Service department with administrative duties.Assist with Service personnel competency reviews as required.Provide guidance and support to field technicians during equipment installation and troubleshooting.Document project activities, decisions, and lessons learned to build institutional knowledge.Travel to customer sites as needed to oversee critical project milestones and provide on-site technical supportQUALIFICATIONS:Higher National Certificate in a relevant engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.EXPERIENCE:3 to 5+ years experience working in a similar role (service, project management, and/or technical support).Time-served engineer/technician with experience working on offshore projects is beneficial.SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:Ability to interpret hydraulic, mechanical and electrical schematics/drawings.Good knowledge of NOV Rig Floor Equipment (RFE) and/or Legacy National Equipment (NOI) and/or Pressure Control Equipment (PCE) and/or Cranes (M&C).Ability to evaluate work scope requirements (manpower, duration, tooling etc).Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office xe2x80x93 Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).Instilled with a strong sense of customer focus (internal/external).
