Job Description
To ensure the provision of high quality consultative medical services in the context of
comprehensive Primary Health Care, the Integrated Development Plan (IDP)and the National Health
Plan within the Municipality.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Providing a skilled clinical support for all Primary Health Care Clinics.
- Providing input into policy decisions on drug selection at all clinics in the District.
- Provide input to the planning for the delivery of comprehensive Primary Health Care.
- Undertaking Medico-legal responsibilities for management of non-accidental injuries
court appearances.
- Ensures provision of high-quality Primary Health Care.
- Complies with all departmental protocols, policies and standard treatment guidelines,
- Medicine List (EML) for PHC, Adult Primary care (APC) and the municipalitys code of conduct.

- Dispensing Certificate.
- Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
- Valid motor vehicle driving license.
- 5 Years relevant experience.
- Computer Literacy.
- 6 years relevant experience working at Primary Health Care level
Declared fit and able by the HPCSA
