Hire Resolve's client, a leading mining company in the Eastern Cape is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SHE Officer. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within the organization.Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain SHE policies, protocols, and standards across mining operations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with SHE regulations and practices.
- Identify health and safety hazards and conduct risk assessments to mitigate potential risks.
- Facilitate employee training and awareness programs on SHE matters.
- Lead incident investigations, compile reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with legislation in terms of Health, Safety, and Environmental matters.
- Monitor environmental impact and advocate for sustainability initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain SHE documentation and reporting.
- Grade 12
- Degree/Diploma in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- 5 years' experience as a SHE Officer in the mining sector.
- In-depth knowledge of mine health and safety regulations.
- Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Valid driver's license
- Salary: Negotiable
