Job Description

Hire Resolve is currently representing a highly reputable mining company based in the Eastern Cape who is in search of a skilled and experienced SHE Officer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing, implementing, and monitoring the SHE management system.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and policies.
• Identifying hazards and assessing risks in the workplace.
• Implementing and maintaining effective emergency response procedures.
• Conducting incident investigations and reporting on findings.
• Providing training and awareness programs on SHE policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to internal standards and legal regulations regarding plant Health & Safety and Environmental systems.
• Develop, oversee, and manage budgets effectively.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of GRI reports and monthly reports.
• Utilize the Isometrix System for management purposes.

Requirements

• Degree in Health & Safety Management or related field.
• Grade 12
• 5 years' experience as a SHE Officer in the mining industry.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
• Computer Literate
• Knowledge in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and various SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environmental, Risk, and Quality) standards, including Rail Safety regulations.
• SHERQ Auditing Skills.
