With 109 manufacturing sites, and 12,000+ employees, we are the Global #1 for prime labels.We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled SHEQ Manager who will be responsible to ensure our plant has full compliance with ISO 14001, FSSC22000, GMP and HACCP certifications. Responsible to sustain and continuously improve the Safety culture and ensure compliance to OHSAct and regulations.This role requires expert knowledge and the ability to plan, implement, monitor and review proactive and preventative measures as you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality.The RoleIn this exciting and varied role, you will:Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and Global Group best practices.Provide leadership and guidance to foster a culture of safety, health, and environmental awareness throughout the organization.Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, risks, and non-conformities, and develop action plans to address them effectively.Coordinate and investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences.Drive Kaizen initiatives to enhance SHEQ performance, including conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventative actions.Integrate SHEQ requirements into all aspects of the manufacturing process to support the complete supply chain process.Provide training and continued awareness to all teams on SHEQ policies, procedures, and global best practices to promote a safe and healthy work environment.Submit reports and participate in global sessions on SHEQ performance, including key metrics and areas for improvement.GeneralEmbrace Kaizen principles and encourage continual improvement and 5S projects.Coordinate training on Health & Safety, Risk, Environmental practices to align with industry best practices.Stay up to date with South African legislation and best practices, providing leadership and coaching on SHEQ activities.Coordinate and conduct training and internal auditing on to ensure awareness, compliance, and alignment with global best practices.Maintain effective communication with internal departments, external customers, and suppliers to ensure objectives are met.The PersonTo succeed in this role you will:Minimum of 5 years of experience in SHEQ management within the FMCG manufacturing sector, with a proven track record of success.Relevant Tertiary qualifications to support your functional role.Previous experience in implementing and maintaining Quality control and certification systems.Previous experience in implementing and maintaining Safety & Health systems.Previous experience in implementing and maintaining Environmental systems.FSSC22000 and/or BRC certification related courses.ISO 14001 Internal Auditor certification and/or related courses, are advantageous.Strong knowledge of South African legislation related to Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality, as well as relevant codes and standards.Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, root cause analysis, and incident investigations.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement SHEQ management systems and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Strong organizational understanding and systems approach.Good communication and report writing skills.
